Living Room Makeover - Designing On The Side

A few months ago, i helped my friend create a design board for her living room. She wanted to lighten up the space but not spend a lot of money doing it. Here is the before:
You can see it was pretty dark with the navy blue accent wall. The tv was on the side of the fireplace.
Here is the view from inside the room looking to the stairwell before the makeover.
Here is the design board I created for her. The look I was going for was bright and beachy. I recommended moving the couch to the center of the room and installing the television over the fireplace.
And here is the AFTER! She did a great job implement the scheme I came up with but still making it her own. I love that she added yellow to the design.
The paint in the room makes the space! It is a pretty shade of greige from C2. I
love this credenza that she found on Joss & Main.
Last weekend, she was at a friend's 40th birthday party and saw this teal planter. She knew it was perfect and convinced her friend to let her have it!
Here's a chair that she got from Homegoods. It is cute and super comfy.
I love what she did with all of these paintings which were all created by her Grandmother and her Dad.
Here is a close up of the paintings.
So there you go! A brand new space on a budget.
