Decorative Witch Hat

I've never been a fan of the traditional orange and black color scheme for Halloween decorating but wanted to add a few fun, inexpensive Halloween decorations to my home this year. I ended up taking an inexpensive cardboard witch hat from Michaels and covering it with a designer fabric sample to create my own unique witch hat!
Covering the cardboard witch hat was pretty simple - I used one piece of fabric around the cone and a second piece around the rim and then added the ribbon to hide the seam between the two. The step by step tutorial is on my blog if you'd like more details about how it was done.
The fun part is that it doesn't take much fabric so it's a great use for any scraps or samples that you love but don't have a use for.
Hope you all have a fun Halloween!
