Decor help!

My mind is full ideas for this space but I can't decide what I want. I want a cozy look for this living room but can't seem to get there,
I know for sure I need a slip
Cover for ottoman and I need to get Rid of the entertainment center but what should I do in place of it? I also want to get rid of the rug
Suggestions??

Agree with @Amy Ogden-Paparone and @Kris O'Toole, switch the wine rack and entertainment center and move the plant away from your window to let light in! Try replacing your mantle shelf on the left with a large mirror, You could have a coffee table or large footstool in the center of the room, or alternatively a long cushioned bench in front of your fireplace. Try repurposing something you find at a yard sale or craigslist! Also, you could put your decorative wall hangings on either side of the window, and put 2 square pictures one above the other on the right hand side of the fireplace. Good luck! You have a lot of accessories sitting around and on walls in wrong place. I would remove everything from room, especially from fireplace as well as walls. Then switch furniture beside fireplace at perhaps an angle so it doesn't look like it's all in a row. Switch it to other side of fireplace with tall cabinet. Plants need light but see if it can be moved somewhere else. As others have said, need larger rug and something done with that chair. Is other furniture in room? Replace iron wall hangings by fireplace with mirrors to reflect light. Move wall shelf to better location. Remember to set up little places that "go together", throughout the room. Also, always use 3 items that go together well when accessorizing. Don't have them all the same size. Put something on a small stack of books to add height if you need to. Edit accessories. You don't have to put everything out at once. That way you can change things and have an all new look. These are all just small things that will make a big difference. Good luck.
