Classy White and Cherry Dresser

I have to say this was a gorgeous dresser from the beginning, and I knew it would not take much for it to be outstanding. You can't tell from this picture but is had turned more of an orangey color and it has lost it's rich cherry tones. Let me just say this baby was solid cherry and heavy! Heavy is an understatement! Usually once you pull the drawers out they are so much easier to handle, but not this baby, it was a cherry beast!
I finished it and had it sold the next day!
You can't tell from the picture that the stain had faded into an orangey color. Once you take off the hardware you can see the color it used to be.
Sprayed to the hardware with an antique bronze and it really brought the hardware up to date.
Stripping and staining 12 drawers was not very fun, but so worth it in the end to get that old glossy varnish off.
If you go to my blog I have more picture showing the process, or my Shabby 2 Uniquely chic Facebook page

I really think that if you don't like something someone else spent hours and hours working on, you shouldn't even bother to reply to the topic. Instead of uplifting the person by giving a compliment to reward all of his or her work, you are instead tearing him/her down. What is the point in that? Does it somehow make one feel better about themselves? Would it really ruin your day to just back out of the thread without commenting? Are you so shallow that you get a giggle out of giving your opinion even though it might mean hurt feelings and ruining the sense of accomplishment someone else had after all of their efforts and time spent on a project?

@AvonelleRed, thank you :-) I completely agree with you, unfortunately I've been saying the same thing for years and people just don't get it! The thing is, 99% of the time when a piece of furniture is posted here, it is painted. I don't get why people that don't like painted furniture even bother to click on the post. I think some people just enjoy putting others down. Sadly, those are the ones that have a very low self esteem and feel the need to bring others down to their level to feel better about themselves. Blessings~Patty~
