Michaels!!! And they're having a sale now (25-40% off entire purchase). Also if you have any of those dollar store chains (ie. Family Dollar, Dollar General, etc.), you can find a bunch of things to put together for wreaths. Keep your creative mind open. They don't have to look like common wreaths. I made two wreaths last Christmas out of fake and real candy canes. Good luck to you and post pics when you're done!

Before you go anywhere else, check out your local dollar stores, and try to think outside the box a little. You might see a garland of flowers or other decorations which you can take apart, and use each piece individually. Look also for yard sale items. Check out your local Facebook yard sale groups to see if anyone is getting rid of craft items, and ask on your local Freecycle.org pagefor unwanted crafting supplies like ribbons and beads. Instead of buying expensive foam wreath shapes, go to your hardware store and buy the foam tubes used to insulate pipes (cut them to the size you want and tape ends together), or if you are making a really large wreath, you can use a $1.00 pool noodle and cut to the size you want, then tape the ends together after your form your circle.

I made the decorations for my wedding recently and found LOTS of tutorials on youtube. Everything from making burlap roses to hot glue gun using tips! Good luck.
  • Definitely buy a glue gun and some garden wire first! Nothing worse than starting a project and realizing you don't have the right things to make it stay in place..trust me I've done it hehe :)
