How to Create Board and Batten the Easy Way

My small powder room got special treatment...in the form of a beautiful wall treatment! Using a nail gun for the first time, I created board and batten, the easy way. It's actually a faux board and batten, since I didn't use boards! The wall acted as my boards and because I used lattice pieces, I did not have to switch my baseboards. Board and batten gives this small bathroom big impact!
Using a nail gun, I attached my chair rail first.
Lattice pieces are much thinner, which makes them perfect to use with existing baseboards.
Once all the boards were attached to the wall, I filled the nail holes with wood filler, camouflaging all the holes.
The edges were caulked to give a seamless appearance to the treatment.
The boards, trim and walls were painted a beautiful white.

I'm having that done in L shaped DR/LR but only in dining dr. I love it and I will be using wider planks but I must be on right trend I have seen it in many posts lately.
