How to Transfer an Image With Citra Solv

A tired old wooden breadbox got a new life with some and a French label from Here's how I transferred the image using Citra Solv.
From country mouse to Paris chic with the help of an image found on The Graphics Fairy.
This tired old country bread box needed a makeover!
First step was to give it a coat of ASCP Old White inside and out.
Then I printed off a reverse copy of the image and cut away any excess paper. Lay it on the piece and give it a good spray with Citra Solv.
Take the back of a spoon and rub the paper. This transfers the ink onto the piece. Be careful not to move the paper or the ink will smudge (like it did in the bottom row of printing). Remove any excess paper by rolling it with your fingers. Wipe away any excess Citra Solv.
Sand to distress the entire bread box. I also sanded away some of the lettering to give it a more aged look. Wax with clear wax to protect it.
