Create an Outdoor Space You Love

Our house has been on the market for almost two months. After fixing up every other room in the house, it was an after thought to makeover under our deck. The complaint about our house is not actually about the house. It is that the backyard is too small. I'm hoping this makeover helps potential buyers see past the size and see it how we do.
The before shot shows a plain unloved spot. It's clean but not inviting.
We bought some flowers, did a couple of simple DIY projects, and are hoping to create a welcoming, bright, happy space that people can see themselves in.
Flowers and fun outdoor lights are cheap elements that can make a space feel so different.
The balance of DIY and just buying completed projects happens during every makeover. Although I spray painted a bench to keep this makeover inexpensive, buying a $3 Target wreath was worth it over spending the time to make my own.
I created this space in 8 hours off and on, with four kids in tow. You can do so much more than you think when you just go for it. I hope potential buyers love this space as much as we do!
