Fav Room in My House? My JUNKY Blog Office!

Being that I blog about decorating with 'junk', I knew I wanted a blog office to reflect that. But I wanted it to be an 'easy' build. So I started hunting for components that would be a snap to fit together.

The end result was a desk created from sawhorses, an old ladder and pallet wood. The wall unit was a revamped Ikea shelf. And all the office helps were just junky things I had.
Needless to say, I love blogging here! It's a true reflection of me and all the things I love!
This is part of a 6 part series.
My blog office! Which was once the dining room. I knew the dining room needed to go when I ended up dusting it weekly rather than using it. Now I use the space 'too much!' :)

The build couldn't have been easier. Sawhorses for the legs and an old ladder for the frame was a great start.

For the top, I painted out the pallet boards with some signage so the top would look like it was randomly pieced together even moreso.

Big bolts were added for some junky bling by drilling holes into the wood and slipping the bolts into place.

The boards were purposely fit into place uneven to offer even more of a salvaged feel.

The wall unit behind the desk is a GORM Ikea unit painted out white. Some funky finials and pallet wood used to brace the back gave it a little more zap.

Junky helpers were added here and there to keep things organized.

Because my monitor was 'a big guy', I sunk it into the desk. The full writeup on how I did this is at: http://funkyjunkinteriors.blogspot.com/2010/08/palette-desk-project-part-4-sunken.html
