Pink Princess Pumpkins For My Little Princess Emma Grace

I don't know how many of you have joined the world of being a grandmother, if you have you know where I'm coming from. If you haven't, you have a joy you've never experianced in store for you! I have seven grandchildren ranging from 22 to 3. Five boys and two girls. My daughter has three boys and one daughter, which was her last child. My son has a daughter and two boys with his youngest boy being the youngest of my grandchildren. I love my children to death, but until I became a grandmother I never realized just how deep love can be. They are all the love of my life and I take every moment I can with them. My youngest granddaughter (my daughters child) is Emma. She is six going to be seven next month. We like to have a girls weekend as often as we can. Emma is six, but you would swear she was twenty something. She is a smart and funny little girl, tough as nails I'm sure because of her brothers, but a girly girl through and through to the nines!
Well this weekend we had our time together. Shopping is always the first order of business and when she arrived she saw all the pumpkins and Fall decor I had made and decided we were going to spend some time crafting. Well this grandma loves it when the kids want to do something crafty. Ms. Emma wanted to make some pumpkins...and they had to be princess pumpkins. She picked out some pretty pink vintage chenilles that I use for crafts, wanted to have some bling on them (she is so like her gram with loving sparkly), and she found my feather boa and wanted feathers on her pumpkins too. So we gathered all that we needed, made a snack, then set out to create pumpkins for a princess. We even gave them a title.

I showed her how to make pumpkins with no sewing and no needle or thread. I walked her through the steps of how to make the pumpkins and with help from gram, these were the final result. My Em was just tickled pink with them....so was I! She had a great vision for a six year old! They certainly looked like princess pumpkins to me and very chic! We had a great time together this weekend. I am thrilled to have at least one in the family that likes to create and do crafty things with me. We or should I say she had three other crafty things she wanted to do, but after a day of shopping, acorn collecting, church on Sunday, and our pumpkin making her first evening here Friday night, we were only able to complete one more project before she had to go home late Sunday afternoon. We share it all on blog. I think my little Emma has got great potential in the crafting world don't you!?

This is our popcorn chenille pumpkin. The pops are so soft and the pinks in all the pumpkins are just to die for sweet and pretty even though it doesn't show just how pretty in these pictures.

And this is my princess Emma Grace of course dressed in pink and I just love her freckles! She'll tell ya she is a princess too! She is so much like her mother....deja vu for me lol! Spoiled....not really but maybe just a tad. God truly blessed us with this child and I can't wait to spend time with her again. I was missing her before she had even left.

Gram had everything we needed so we didn't spend a dime. One day maybe I'll get through this ton of stash I have, but it sure is nice not having to buy a thing to have fun! Well I think Emma did an awesome job in her designing of these pumpkins don't you think so too? I love them! I just love my Emmie.....we be just like peas and carrots together! My partner in crime with good times always and making memories!
