Our house is a 1940's vintage cottage~ with knotty pine walls & hardwood floors. About 5 years after we moved into our cottage~ we built a master bedroom. I designed it to blend in with the original house- with beadboard, hardwood floors & corner windows- which each of the 4 original bedrooms had . We did nearly all the work ourselves and I absolutely love how it turned out. It is one of my favorite rooms because it has so much sunshine streaming in and I love the french doors leading out to the backyard. More of my bedroom decorated for Christmas at my blog~
