DIY Halloween Wreath

Hey y'all! If you were to ask me this past Sunday if I would be sharing my Halloween wreath with y'all today I would've said no. The vision in my head wasn't working out in real life. So, I did what any frustrated girl would do. I poured myself some wine and started cleaning. Well, maybe not everyone would do the cleaning part but I needed something else to focus on.

Here's what you'll need:
-18" foam wreath
-ribbon
-hot glue gun
-burlap and ribbon for bow
-felt spider web
-spray paint
-mdf wood numbers
-craft paint
-paint sponge
First, wrap your ribbon around the foam wreath. To start, I hot glued one end of the ribbon to the wreath and started wrapping. I used two full rolls of ribbon a little bit of a third.
This wreath also doubles as a cat bed.
After that, I painted the 3 and 1 with two coats of purple craft paint. This is the perfect Halloween purple...if that makes sense.
This is where it originally went all wrong.

After the paint dried I hot glued the 3 and 1 to the left side of the wreath, added that fake spider webbing in the middle and made a loop to hang the wreath. It didn't look bad, but I wasn't completely in love with it. When I hung the wreath up it was lopsided since the left side was heavier than the right.

I knew I needed to move the numbers to the middle or the bottom. I didn't want them on the bottom of the wreath so I had to figure out how I could display them in the middle.

Dollar Store to the rescue!

I found this felt spider web that would be sturdy enough to attach the numbers and big enough to attach to the 18" wreath.

I don't really understand why they make spider webs black since they're clear or white but it's nothing some spray paint can't fix.

The purple is from a spider they had attached.
Here it is after one coat of spray paint.
When I started assembling my wreath I realized I forgot to remove the remaining purple from the spider so I used some white craft paint to cover it. Since the craft paint was a lot more opaque than the spray paint I just applied some all over the wreath to make it look like it was meant to be like that.

After I used my hot glue gun to attach the spider web to the back of the wreath, I hot glued the numbers, bow and the loop to hang it up and I was doneskies.
**Bow tutorial coming soon**
