Turn Your Landscaping Into Your Minions!

Tall ornamental grasses need to be cut back every year. But before cutting them down, give them a last hurrah with a little spray paint and some foam core features!
It is really really easy to create these 'Evil Minions' (the purple guys from Despicable Me 2.) First, you use twine to to tie up your decorative grass plants into the proper shape. Then after covering any surface you don't want painted, spray paint the entire plant. Attach the face (made out of foam core) and you are ready to go.
A project like this is sure to get the whole neighborhood talking! http://www.thekimsixfix.com/2014/10/turn-your-landscaping-into-minions.html
The finished minions.. perfect for Halloween!
The type of decorative grass that was used (any type of ornamental grass would work as long as you are going to cut it back anyhow. You dont' want to spray paint an entire plant that you aren't going to prune.)
What the plants look like after being tied/shaped.

I live at the beach in northern Oregon. Lots of wind. I'm also putting up a cedar hog fence. Would it be better to put the pompas grass on the inside or outside of the fence?
