Console Table Makeover

With a little paint and some $10 pyramid stud trim, I made over an old console table without breaking the bank! I transformed it into a piece of furniture I love when I only kind of liked it before! http://desertdomicile.blogspot.com/2012/08/c...

Caitlin - this looks great! The "rockstar" trim with the blue makes it look more modern and hip,,,,

Thanks, Helena! I took a risk with the trim but I think it paid off :)

I think I might try this on an old Crate and Barrel mirror I have somewhere in storage, did the stud trim come in silver?

Yep! It was only $9.99/yard at my local Joann's and I ended up using a little less than the full 2 yards. The trim comes in a strip that's 5 strands wide so I cut each strand long ways and glued them on with E-6000 glue (also bought at Joann's). If you can't find E-6000, I'm sure super glue or gorilla glue would work too!

Cool thanks Caitlin - now I just need to be brave enough to face the dreaded storage locker.

That's one awesome transformation. Great choice in "studs" too. I'm going to check at see if I can find some locally and add them to something. Much neater looking than regular upholstery tacks.

Thanks, Becky! If you can't find them locally, you can order them online. I included the link in my blog post :)

Thanks Caitlin. I saw that. I was hoping HobLob sells them and I could use one of their 40% off coupons.

Oh, I'm sure they would! We don't have a Hobby Lobby in town (they're building one though!) otherwise I could check for you and let you know!

Aw that's sweet of you. This will give me a reason to head there next time I'm in Omaha, shopping with a friend.
