Hot Pink Dresser Fit for a Princess

$2.50
3 Hours
Easy
I scored this sweet little vintage dresser for free, but it was desperate for some attention. My sweet little Princess just moved to her big girl room and needed storage for her clothes. This piece would work great, but first needed an overhaul.
I have no idea what kind of paint was caked on this piece. I was worried it might contain lead, so I completed stripped and sanded the whole thing down after removing those old vintage handles.
Under all that paint was the prettiest wood. If this piece was for me, I would have gone another route altogether, but the Princess wanted a hot pink dresser and my goodness, that's what she would get.

These drawers needed repair as well. The bottoms all had to be replaced and reinforced.
I scored a mistint can of paint for $2.50 that was just the right color. After the dresser was painted, I added a damask printed slip of wrapping paper I had on hand and some pretty new drawer pulls.

I really didn't expect it to end up looking so great after seeing the way it looked when you got it. You did a wonderful job!
