Hot Little Numbered Dresser

I found a funky little vintage dresser on a local FB site. It was solid and had great bones, but the previous owner had lovingly hand painted fish all over it. To work out in the room it was intended for, it would need a much different look.
The fish were nice, but for an "all-boys-manly-room", this piece needed an overhaul. I had some great barn red paint and went to work covering every inch. It took several coats, but I was diligent and insistent to nix the green and the fish.
After the paint dried, I roughed up all the edges and knobs with a hand sander. I intended for this project to be a cheap one, so I used what I had to work with.
Last, I hand stenciled numbers on each drawer in white to give it a pop. After it was finished, I really wanted to find a place for it in our family room. I love the color and the numbered drawers. However, I created it specifically for two very special little boys who desperately needed another storage option in their room. It won't stop me from looking for something similar for myself!
