DIY Tree Branch Curtain Rod

Ever run out of money towards the end of a room makeover? I did and look what I came up with for the curtain rod in my daughter's room! Whimiscal, fun, and nearly free!

Love the fun shadows that the branch casts in the room.

Just beautiful and so creative. I like it much better than a purchase rod.

Did the same thing in my bedroom with a white birch branch from a tree we had to cut down when we built our home. It was a way of "preserving" a piece of this tree and looks great with my four-poster pine log bed.

For a country-themed home office, I used an old pitchfork with a burlap swag on one window, and an ancient hoe on the other. Kind of fun!

    Nice!

I wish I had a picture, but one time I used a bamboo rod (we had a stand of it growing in the yard) because I was too "frugal" to go buy curtain rods OR curtains. I had a ton of 1/8" satin ribbon in varying colors and half-hitched strands to the bamboo rod and voila! Funky window covering.

I am using drift wood to make my curtain rods. I am using Cammo material and putting ties on the top. I am turning an old 2 bedroom 2 bath trailer into a log cabin.
