Foyer Makeover

I am painting my very yellow house WHITE, one room at a time so as to not overwhelm myself. I think I'm finally happy with my foyer. Should I dip the legs of my ladder?

This is the ladder I love from Anthropology. What color should I dip the legs? I was considering a nautical navy blue....

Wow you did a great job! But as for dipping the ladder, if you do....i was thinking you've got white walls, powder grey trim, a Grey-ish (lol) looking crate, black chalkboard, and again a grey-ish suitcase....I actually think the color of the suitcase is kind of a nice compromise between powder Grey and the black...and I'd probably use that for my color...but are you going to "dip" the table legs as well?

Yes! Dip! Dip away my friend Ally! I would do something fun and bold ... maybe a turquoise or aqua blue ... just a pop of color to add some of the fun that I know you have ...

Yes. Just dip it! I agree with Linda. Any vibrant color that you like.

I love your entry! That sailboat painting is beautiful. My personal style would be not to dip it...I love neutral color palettes. But if you love color, then yes, dip it. I like Sharron W.'s suggestion for color choice.

The odd color pop looks great with the neutrals around. I think the blue would look cool too.

Ally-This is so cute and unique. Every part of it. My little Val has a ladder to her bunk bed and I have been eyeing it for months! I want to use it on a book shelf. She is not budging. That ladder is hers forever so she says!!! :) PS my hubby is from Herkimer :)...I am from Buffalo! :)

Cool! I don't blame your daughter. I love my ladder obsessively too. Lol. I dipped the legs today - made it kind of nautical flavored...

I love the simplicity of your foyer and how each piece makes it's own statement, dipped or not.

Great job! I agree with Linda that a pop of color would be fantastic. And...just a tip...move the bench about 2" left from the bench so as not to crowd the ladder...you have that much room to move it!
