We would like to put our 42" tv at the foot of our bed on a low boy

The Chirping Frog on Oct 10, 2014How much room to you have until there's a wall.... You could do a "faux" wall with a bookshelf, backing the t.v. up to it with the storage facing the other decoration. I've seen it done for a headboard pulling the bed away from the wall into the middle of the room.... add a decorative backing.Helpful Reply

Katie on Oct 11, 2014I really hate to say this …. but I'm going to. It's very psychically damaging to put a TV where you sleep. For one thing they are never truly "off" unless you unplug them so you are being bombarded by electrical energy the whole time you are sleeping. Then there is the matter of how watching TV to go to sleep affects your subconscious. I won't go into that though because I'm pretty sure you already think I'm a nut-bar….Helpful Reply

AvonelleRed on Oct 11, 2014My personal preference is no tv in a bedroom, but I am hardly going to tell you that you shouldn't have one in yours. To each his or her own, and it's not my business. I would think maybe one of those divider screen things would work. You might want to build your own, so you can make it the exact height you need as well as being able to coordinate it with the rest of your decor. Jodi on Oct 12, 2014We just put one in our bedroom. It's about 2 feet from the foot of the bed. It's only been switched in twice in the month it's been there. Why are they dangerous? Should I switch off the surge protector when it's not being used? We only put it in the bedroom because we bought a new tv for the living room. My plan was to use the DVR in that room to record shows I don't want the grands to see like American Horror etc.Helpful Reply
