Feathered Owl Wall Hanging

I recently found a felt owl in the Dollar Spot area of my favorite store. The tag said it was a table mat, and while it was nice the way it was, I had a much better idea for it.
When I saw the owl table mat, I knew I wanted to embellish it, This year we are doing a lot of our Halloween decorations in black, and I knew it would make a great addition. I picked up a bag of black feathers at the craft store, and I already had the google eyes and felt in my craft stash
I picked out the longer feathers from the bag, and glued them to make the owl wings. There were some extra strings of glue, but they were easy to remove.
I picked out some smaller feathers and glued them on to the tail.
I added a few smaller feathers to the ears, and added google eyes
The last thing I added to the owl was a dark grey felt beak. The ribbon was already attached to the mat, and was the perfect length for hanging. I love how it stands out hanging on the white doors we have in the house.
