Need advice for privacy around my hammock.

I recently added a little "hammock room" in my yard and it is very near the fence that separates my yard from my neighbor's. I would like to find a way to add some privacy without being obnoxious toward my neighbors. They are great but it is a bit disconcerting to look up from a book and see six little eyes peering over at me. The area gets very little sun - about two hours in the afternoon in summer. Any ideas?

Is it invasive Douglas? I've never heard of it either but looking it up, I found they also have a japanese mini version that is only 8-12 inches tall and the foliage looks like maidenhair fern...really a pretty thing...So I may be ordering some of those myself....LOL

Not at all invasive, Sharron. Although if you want one that small it seems to me you might as well plant astilbe.
