Redone Countertops with Giani Granite Countertops Paint

Many of you have asked about the countertops from my kitchen remodel. I have written a full review of the product that I used and a step by step process of what we did. They look amazing! We love the outcome! Check here for more pictures and info:

They look awesome! I have heard of the paint but haven't used it yet. Looks like you did a great job!

Well After I experiment with my kitchen cabinets, I am going to get rid of my blue, yes, blue counter tops. can't afford new ones at this time, but if this looks that great, who needs new ones. Can you do this on any type of countertop? man, maybe I will do my countertops first.

@Monica, yes you can do it on any surface. I'd say start with the counters then you'll be more inspired to do your cabinets! :)

You are probably correct about doing counters first, probably easier to match cabinets to countertop, then countertop to cabinets.

I did my counter tops in sicilian sand and they are beautiful!!! I followed the directions to the hilt, and watched the video over and over again, I really have a mess around my kitchen sink, I couldn't wait until it was time after the second coat of clear glaze to dry so I could remove the tape, but to my surprise when I started to remove the tape the whole color including the primer came up in big peeling pieces, same goes with the tape around the back splash, I am sick!!! I was so proud ...»
of the transformation and my sponging colors are beautiful, any ideas how to fix this beside taking the kitchen sink out?? has anyone else had this problem? i would love to hear from someone. Thanks

oh my....is there some kind of etching process that needs to be done first? I sounds like the counter wasn't porous enough for the paint to grab onto. I would sand the counter down first.

Sheryl it sounds like maybe the tape was left on for too long. I took my tape off after only a few minutes, that way the paint didn't have time to dry to it. Do you have enough product left over where you can go back and do just those areas?

I completed my countertops last week with this product using the Chocolate. They are beautiful and the process was easy. I even did the wood trim on the front side of the countertop and it looks like one continuous piece of granite. So pleased with the results. This week we completed the brown paper method on our dining room floor. It looks like leather. I went to the Lovely Crafty Home website and just followed the directions. Cost for my countertops was $90. Cost for my large dining room was $150.
