Elephant Art

Painting is a great way to release stress and make a space completely your own. Even if you do not consider yourself an "artist," the process of creating something can be so therapeutic.
Here is the final work. I worked on this one evening after dealing with some stress. The process completely changed my weekend.
I pre-sketched my elephant onto the canvas and then started on the background first.
I then started working on the ears and head.
I worked my way down to the trunk.
I chose a bright brilliant color for the bottom. I am not sure why I chose the red instead of the typical browns or greens, but I do think that was the perfect choice.
I finished off with the all of the details and hung it on my naked bathroom wall.

That is one funky elephant. Good for you. Please post again if you do another painting. Would love to see what you do next.

@Carole Thanks. I do a lot of art work but never put it on a blog. Thanks for the compliment. Maybe I will do this more often!
