Help - kitchen space minimal

Just moved into my first mobile home - 1976 Broadmoore single wide - and am facing minimal dishware and cookware storage. It's only me, but there is not enough room for anymore than a single set of dishes and I like to entertain the grandkids or no more than a small crowd with a potluck or buffet. I need help. I rarely use the dishwasher (even with a small crowd) and have considered removing it and fashioning some shelves or cabinetry in the open space. I'd leave the cabinet top, at least.
Anyone have similar challenges? I'd appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.

Why take the dishwasher out? I'll bet you wouldn't be the first person to use it for storing dishes instead of washing them.

@Douglas Hunt Good idea - especially for fine china. The rubberized/plasticized dividers keep them separate so they don't scratch. Saves buying the felt dividers for stacking them.

I also have a small kitchen and I have no wall space. I decided on keeping one set of solid white dishes that I can use in many different ways. If I had kept other dishes I guess I would have packed them up for storage somewhere other than the kitchen. I also cut out all extra "stuff" that I could do without. The biggest change is that I store less used items in storage away from the kitchen. Best of luck because it requires some hard decisions. At least it did for me, but it is working out very well.

Small spaces are my least favourite to organize. However, I have always utilized my wall space to fully maximize storage around the house. Use shelves or racks to hold your dishes but ensure they are securely installed. On the other hand, if you do not wish to display your dishes out in the open for everyone to see, perhaps you could store them in boxes and take them out only when you have your grandkids over.

If you have room for a bakers rack stack dishes on it. Buy one of the cute containers for flatware and set it on the counter. It will save on drawer space.
