Wow-I have to remember this.... -
This is wonderful. I have an very old armoire that I didn't know what to do with. Thanks for the great idea. I love it. -
Love what you did with your armoire. I have an old dull boring one that I would like to make pretty someday. Saving your ideas for another time. -
years ago my mom took one and wallpapered the inside and painted the outside and turned it into a china hutch -
what is the color of the paint? -
I have a large entertainment armoirre that I have repurposed into a pantry! Just added more shelves; it works for foods, paper products, and pet products! Also, the drawers hold napkins and table linens. -
Hi Lynn P The paint I used is Homestead Milk Paint and it is Acadia Pear. If you go to the actual post on the site, there will be more information on where you can get that. Thanks -
Wow! You did a wonderful job! What a really handsome piece of furniture for the kitchen, and how good the chair looks sitting next to it. Both pieces of furniture compliment one another well. How many hours do you have into this? With the screen in the doors, come Thanksgiving (or any other time) you can use it for a pie safe too. -
This is just lovely. I am so into the idea of making something old and tired look timeless. You did a great job Lisa. -
Beautiful! -
Nice -
You did a great job -
Great job! I just purchased an armoire also to turn into a pantry cabinet in our kitchen remodel. Mine also has long doors and think the way you did yours is very interesting and well done! -
Thank you for your post and excellent 'how to do' photographs and text. I am saving this until I find just the piece I want to re-do. I want to use it as a cabinet to keep my still life vases inside for my art painting studio. -
This really is spectacular. I am delighted to have gone to your web site to learn more about Milk Paint--that appears to be NO V.O.C, and very easy to use. -
I love the rustic charm that this piece still has...such a sense of history. I want to try some milk paint too! Nice re-create! -
I love this project and was delighted to see that you're a fellow "Port Saint Lucie-an". -
Nice job! I did the same thing with an old armoire that had been in the family for a while. It was still in good shape but needed some TLC. Instead of leaving it's contents exposed, I made some gingham curtains for each window pane and secured them on the inside of the doors. -
LOVE what you did w/ this. -
Love to see everyones great ideas..Good job, keep em coming. -
