Solar Lights

Does anyone know if you can replace a solar light bulb with a stronger bulb?

If your talking about the solar fixtures that are self contained that line walks, or gardens, no. The solar array that collects and charges the battery within the unit will not provide enough power to resupply the battery with power. Not to mention that the battery will not be strong enough to keep the higher wattage lamp lit for any amount of time once it gets dark out.

And that assumes you can find a lamp that has the same socket type on it. ...»

The last thing I would add is that the fixture was designed to be used with a set wattage type of bulb. The larger the bulb the greater the heat and demand it has on the rest of the device. This heat can cause early failure by melting the lens or shorting the wires out. That is why you cannot put over sized bulbs in ceiling fixture lamps. Same goes with those solar units.
