A Garden Tour & A Love Story

I recently visited my cousin's amazing home and she was gracious enough to let me share it on my blog. She and her husband shared a passion for home design and DIY. When they bought their home, the yard was mostly trees.
They had most of the old trees removed. They added new trees, shrubs and plants, many of which were passed down from their grandparents yards. They also built this amazing potting shed, which is more like a garden house!
Her husband worked for a large builder and was able to use items leftover from job sites in his own yard. The rocks he used for the retaining wall were going to be discarded from one of those sites.
There is something to see along each winding path throughout this yard! Including water features, koi ponds, and the gazebo where the couple were married. It took 20 years to create this amazing yard. It was truly a labor of love for the couple!

That looks like a lovely garden. I think I might be afraid of tracking dirt into that potting shed, though!

You can see the love and the hard work that has gone into that garden. What a great score on those rocks for that lovely wall. Very special.
