Vegetable harvest

Yesterday my hubby sent me this picture message of all the vegetables he harvested from my garden which was a complete surprise! I've been hospitalized since Sunday and had to undergo emergency surgery and will be out of commission for quite some time, which is a gardener's worst nightmare. Thanks to my wonderful husband all my hard work can still be appreciated. Vegies anyone?

OH NO!! Julee you can't be out of commission - WHAT will we do without you? Please know you will be in our thoughts & prayers and hope you have a quick recovery. Too bad you couldn't use the barter system to pay your hospital bill!! Your harvest looks wonderful and please tell your husband we appreciate his picking these!

Here's to your speedy recovery, Julee. Perhaps your husband can sneak some of those fresh veggies to you in the hospital.

Hope for a speedy recovery! The harvest is just amazing. My poor garden took a hit this past summer. So happy to see such abundance!

Oh no Julee! I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been were you are. Mine was a ruptured appendix. Took me out for the whole summer and years to feel like myself again because when I was allowed more activity the "new" teacher I worked with didn't let me leave the classroom to walk except at lunch time. So please don't let that happen to you. I've stopped and prayed for you and will continue to do so. ...»

Oops, almost forgot to mention what a lovely bounty your hubby shared with you. He sure knows how to cheer his wife up, doesn't he?

Julee, hurry home. There are so many things to care for such as frogs & dragon flies and a beautfiul garden but take care of yourself first. The veggies are really impressive.

Thank for the prayers and well wishes everyone. I am at home recovering and doing quite well. Have even been in my garden every day since I came home. Harvested spaghetti squash, cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes today. I cannot eat any raw vegetables for at least a month so I am giving bags of them away. Just now reintroducing real food into my diet. One step at a time. At least I'm home and be outdoors and am feeling good. Smiles, Jul :)

It's soooo good to hear from you girl!! You've had us worried but am delighted you are home and on the mend. Now don't over do it traipsing around in the veggie patch. Too bad you can't enjoy your own harvest and I wish I could help by taking some off your hands!! Good to have you back!!

Welcome home Julee! Hope you have a speedy, full recovery. Maybe, recovery allowing, you might be able to freeze or can some of your harvest, but don't try it too soon.
