My Lampshade Makeover....a little girlish whimsy.

I found a great lamp at a yard sale a couple summer's ago, but it wasn't really "fitting" with my house, so it was made-over to fit my nursery. The nursery is supposed to be fairly gender neutral, but I put more "boy" touches on my son's side and more "girl" touches on my daughter's. This was one of those girlish touches that I may have gotten carried away on.

Flower tute from House of Smiths, and colored brads from Micheal's made up the embellishments for the lampshade.

I simply used black slinky fabric and spray adhesive to recover the shade.

The before. Not bad....just not workin' in my house.

All finished. This adds some girlish whimsy to the space.
