Thanks y'all. I am also very fickle, so don't b surprised if this all changes again in a year or so. :-D -
Reading this again, actually I love both .....but I understand how you could get tired of red (or any color) after a few years. And I think we do get tired, and then maybe dont see our places through others eyes after so long a time. Until we take pictures, then....ooohhhh..lightbulb! I am wondering if the blue is new to replace the red wall , I love the color of the green platters and think a lighter green it would be so soothing and fresh back there on that dining room(?)wall.. what a nice change! good job. -
Bernice - it was a beautiful color indeed, but very limiting on what would go with it. I just needed a change. :) -
Barb, they are both beautiful. I am coveting that sink! If you don't mind, where did you find it? -
Patty - it has been quite a few years, but I Googled Hand Hammered Copper Sinks on Google and ending up finding a company in texas who exported them from Mexico. It's a beauty! :) Sorry I cannot remember the name of the company. -
WEll Barb I totally understand about change, I have to keep reminding hubs, this is my environment almost all day every day, he is here 2-3 hours at night..so when i say I need a change...I NEED A CHANGE! So we painted a wall this week, it was supposed to be a very deep teal, well it was NEON teal, I couldnt make myself get used to it. Now it is a sage ..and as you say..who knows what will happen a year from now? -
Oh, I'm so sorry. Paint colors can be so tricky. Those florescent lights they have at the paint stores don't help anything either. The good thing is that it isn't a major investment. -
Love your new white kitchen, the red was beautiful too! -
Thanks Endearing Home. I love the white! -
What color of white did you use for your walls in your new kitchen? I also need to update the walls in my kitchen but don't want to paint the oak cabinets that I have. So I have to work around that. I also don't have very much natural light in my small galley kitchen. I love both looks. Good for you for changing it though. jc -
JC - I can't remember right off the top of my head. (I know, I know, I should know things like that huh?) :) I am out of town but will look on the can when I get home. The main reason I can't remember is that it took about 9 colors to get it right. -
Thanks will look forward to hearing back from you. If you are east coast be safe through hurricane Sandy. -
Stunning job ~ ! I loved the red but can understand how one can tire of such a bold color. Terrific change by quite a talented gal ~ ! -
this is a "stunning" kitchen, kudos to whomever did the design. -
Terrie Kaufman I agree with you, actually I really like both of them equally. -
Thanks Bonnie. That is very kind. Terrie, that would be me. :) Bernice, sometimes I miss the red but I am just loving the soothing white and cream and blue. Thanks everyone for your kind words and compliments. -
Your kitchen is so beautiful...loved it in white and the way it looks now in red, too. I'm a big fan of red myself. My kitchen and living room all have accents of it, my favorite color! When I get a chance I will be adding more pics to my HT page, too! -
Thanks. Its actually white now, it *was red. I still love the red though. I will miss all that red when I start decorating for Christmas. :) -
Gorgeous! -
Great job both times! Your new look is much more serene. Very pretty! -
Thanks Trina. Anne I loved this kitchen at Christmas time, lol. But yes it is so much more serene. -
So beautiful -
Oh, thanks so much. :) -
I love my new white kitchen also -
Diane, they really are bright and light aren't they? I doubt I will ever have anything but. Merry Christmas. :)
