My garden paintings at the cottage

I painted this sunset above the lake but I am not sure what these flowers are. They are about 4 feet tall and grow in rich soil above the lake in full sun. Either marsh milkweed or joe - pye weed. Not sure which but it was a pleasant evening painting without many bugs.

I'm not sure what the flower is, but who cares? It's a beautiful painting.

I'm with Ellen on the flower! To sit in the evening, looking at a beautiful scenery and have the gifted talent to capture it all thru your eyes and hands must be like a bit of Heaven. It looks like you could just reach out and pick one of those flowers. Beautiful.

Thank you Ellen H, Donna R. and Susan S. I so appreciate your comments on my painting. I work so hard at trying to capture what I see and feel through paint, it makes me smile to know that all of you appreciated, "Sunset in Purple." If you care to look at more of my paintings you can go to my website, www.pamelasweetfineart.com and give me more helpful feedback there. Yours in art, Pamela

This painting is perfect! My favorite style of painting! Van Gough is one of my favorite along with Monet! You hit somewhere in between these two great artist!

It's a beautiful painting, reminds me of my favorite painter Vincent van Gogh, the passion that puts in all his works, you have the gifted talent. Beautiful.
