Chip Bag Into Outdoor Pillow

After being disgusted at pillow prices, I spotted some chip bags which I decided to make into pillows for my new bistro set. Ha ha Ralph Lauren. 4 bucks later I have burlap pillows and I didn't have to pay you $100 for them! Tutorial is on my post.

Ha!! I love the back of this pillow! I have the same chip bags, just haven't done a thing to mine yet. Thanks for the encouragement!

I preferred the back of the bag. Less temptation to eat chips....

I have heard of doing something like that with dog food bags. (it might have been purses?)

Never saw chips in a burlap bag before! What else can you get in cloth bags?

You're sooo funny. It is always a joy to find a new to me blog, and think, wow someone with a great sense of humor, besides awesome pillow making talent. I subscribed, so I won't miss any more of the fun.

These are really cool! I think that we can find a lot of neat items to use as pillows by just using our imagination!

Burlap works great for outdoors. I often use old pillow cases or sheets to make throw pillows for indoors. Yard sale t-shirts make great covers for the pillows with little sewing. By cutting straight across under sleeves, only one unfinished edge to work with. Very easy to update or change theme especially for kids & teens.

Such a great idea. I had a lot of canvas bags for using for groceries and beach bags, I turned them into pillows too! Some are so fun with logos and labels on them. Funky fun!

We have some chairs that the back are a little too rustic and I slip Tshirts over them to keep them from damaging someone's cloths -- they look really cute.

Hmmm! A little machine embroidery on a tshirt would just set those off. What a cute idea!

@lucille another possible option is coffee bags.

I've been roasting my own coffee for a few years now and good number of my suppliers sell the bags.

I actually saw them again in a Chapters/Indigo bookstore. Chips and books? Yeah I guess it's a good combo.

Great idea. I saved the stuffing (in mesh laundry bags) which my little dogs managed to pull out of their big sleep pillows. I'll bet the big, tough dog food bags would make neat outdoor pillows - with one seam! Practically indestructible. Wonder if they are paintable? What with?
