Cabinet door will not close

I have a cabinet door that will close and then open up again (they call it a ghost door). Any recommendations?

Sounds like a problem with the hinges. I'd remove the door and inspect thoroughly. Could be the spring is dislodged, or broken.

Our 100 year old dresser doors open at night...probably due to temperature differences causing expansion/contraction of the wood or hinges. You may want to try using a magnetic door catch on the inside of that cabinet door. That should fix the problem unless other cabinet doors start opening after that. If that happens, give your ghost a name and ask them to stop it!

Thought with the cooler temperatures the door would go back to normal, but it did not! Had my husband put a magnet on the door - bye bye ghost! Thank you all who replied to my post#
