Our laundry room was the most uninspiring place. Concrete floors, sagging shelves - no fun! But with some reclaimed and repurposed items and a little elbow grease, it's been transformed!
This is what our laundry room was like when we moved in. We ended up getting rid of the old, inefficient deep freezer, which cleared a lot of space. We covered the concrete floor with a plush throw rug - which will wash easily and can withstand a bit of water if the machines ever malfunction. (Though, fingers crossed!)
And here it is now! We used old fence boards to give the back wall some life, texture and interest.
Some DIY art work and a few thrift store finds too!
We added storage by re-using our old kitchen cabinets down here and used a simple clip technique to add some white muslin to the windows to soften them (and hide ugly down pipes!)
A repurposed kitchen island holds all our cleaning supplies and acts as a great folding surface.
