My butterfly garden in August, 2012

These are the Zinnias (Mexican Sunfower) that I planted from seed. Tiny, paper thin seeds, that have grown into these magnificent pants, this is a miracle to me, simply amazing!

Zinnias are amazing plants. They grow from those tiny seeds, and then the more you cut them the more flowers you have.

I've always thought Zinnias were pretty and these are no exception. I didn't realize they grew this tall though.

Nice garden DeAnna. I've always thought that Zinnias do not get enough promotion at the garden centers. Is it because they perform so well, even reseeding after a mild winter?

Zinnias have become my favorite flower, and I love how long they last as a cut flower. I took some pictures of mine today, too.

Thanks everyone for all of the nice comments! I agree with Donna, they are very hard to find in stores! I had a hard time finding the seeds as well. I looked evey where for California Giant, I couldn't find them any where. These are Come & Cut Again. These are my babies, I'm in awe that they started from the tiny seeds.

It's liked. I think it looks great. I love the shots of the bugs and frogs and other critters, too. You clearly have a wonderful passion for wildlife and it shows. I look forward to seeing more photos.

I love zinnias, and if you leave the seed heads, the birds love those.

it's 'liked' by me too. Very beautiful pics of flowers you have on there as well as Butterflies!

I fell in love with Zinnies way back when I lined the outer edges of my veggie garden with them. All started by seed and grew to 4ft! I had cut Zinnias in the house in every room all season long! And the more you cut off the dead flowers the more they produced! why oh why didn't I do that this year?

Thank you Marg, I just started the page this summer when a friend at work encouraged me to when I brought my gardening pics into work. It's very hard to get a pic of a butterfly, but I try!

Thanks for all the wonderful comments everyone, it makes me feel do good that others are enjoying the pics!
