Tips for staining parquet flooring. The flooring surface has to have an even polish, even to the edges. For example, the surface has to be completely sanded using the same grade sandpaper, so the primer will not soak in at different degrees, thus creating patches.
On surfaces that soak less, such as olive or bamboo wooden parquet, determine if a coarser grade sanding will produce better results.
Make sure all the dust from the sanding has been removed.

Install a thin and even coat of the primer, and make sure that it is rubbed in when it is still damp.
The amount of primer used and the time it took to work it in, all go to influence the color tone, which is why bigger surfaces should be stained by several flooring services workers.
