Painted Faux Brick Backsplash (Before & After)

You've seen my B&A White Kitchen. I also wanted to share my most recent project I completed a few days ago. I used latex paint, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and some sanding to add instant patina, and achieve an aged Farmhouse feel. I also added inexpensive corbels from Lowe's. I just love this new look. What do you think?

That is very, very pretty. If I may ask, what does a sheet of this material run?

I would like to know that answer as well because this really looks great. Love how you distressed it and added the corbels. I really think it would have looked better red...I'm just teasing! :) Heading to your blog.

Haha Donna. It costs about $20 or less a sheet. It looks like red brick with black grout. Not very pretty but can be easily painted. I also used it around three sides of the island. We have a faux fireplace using an antique English mantel, and I used it again inside the mantel opening.

Thanks, gf! It really is a little unknown secret. Lots of uses for that 4x8 sheet. :)
