Dee W on Aug 21, 2012@John, my porch is enclosed and we have wanted to make it a permanent part of the house but...."time & money" aren't showing up anytime soon so we use it when the weather is warm and when we have company in the winter as an overflow room.--it is 13 x 12 . The heater works well; I hope you will have the same results and be very happy with your pick. Be sure to re-post when yours arrives and you have it placed in your home.

John H on Aug 21, 2012@Susan, will definitely keep the Home Talk family in the loop when I make my purchase. San Diego does not get cold, but here's the problem with living in "sunny" San Diego. Many homes out here, including mine, are not built with a traditional fireplace. I want the feel of a real fireplace but without the hassles of cleaning, maintenance, expensive wood fuel (which is not eco-friendly), so I discovered electric fireplaces that can operate with or without heat. I can turn on the flames and enjoy the ambiance mid summer without heat! : ) @Dee, thank you for the feedback, and I will definitely post when it arrives to my home.
