Because of that difficulty and the fact that my hubby is making all our trim I came up with an idea of how to make the trim squared like the other windows by cutting out the drywall and
Since you have no trim at all I would suggest using a straight rod hung just above the top edge of the arch. In doing so you might be able to make your current (very pretty) window treatments work for you. Even if you want to get another treatment it will still make it easier to dress your windows.
I'm adding a couple pictures of our windows (only one has trim so far) to explain what my plans are. I wish they were complete, but hopefully my explanations will help give you a couple ideas.
