Thrift Shop Chair Makeover

A $5.00 chair from my local Humane Society thrift store got a makeover with paint and a new seat cover. I plan to donate this back to the shop so that they can use the money to help animals in need.
After removing the chair seat and cover, the chair was cleaned and repaired. It’s joints were loose which was an easy fix with wood glue and large clamps. I gave it four coats of Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint in Lace followed by Annie Sloan wax which was buffed to a soft shine. The fabric is by Waverly and is an indoor/outdoor product.
This chair had seen better days!
I really enjoy giving furniture a face lift!

Great redo and a fantastic idea for their benefit! I am going to check here and see if they have a thrift shop!

@Jeanette S I'll bet that they do. I find all sorts of goodies at my local shop.
