Spruce Up Your Outdoor Adirondack Chairs

Laura Garcia
by Laura Garcia
We have a nice little shady spot in our yard where I placed a couple of handmade Adirondack chairs on flagstone pavers to create a cozy spot to relax. Unfortunately, the chairs get a lot of wear and tear from all of the outdoor elements, and this year they were in desperate need of a little sprucing up!
See the step by step on how to clean and paint wood Adirondack chairs on my blog Elegant Nest @ http://elegantnest.blogspot.com/2012/06/outdoor-adirondack-chair-make-over.html

These look nice, and that's useful info. I see a lot of very neglected and weathered Adirondack chairs.

I will need to file this away for later. We still have not built our set of chairs, but I'm hoping we go the painted route. They're big enough they'll need to stay out in the elements out of season so...being able to clean them up and pre-care for them will be key.
