Is that Agave hardy here? -
listed as hardy to 20 degrees F., not sure about it in Atlanta or our region, depends on the winter? Well drained soil is critical, ABG has hardy agaves that have been there for years outside -

Douglas, I imagine you can grow Agave's in Florida, provided they have excellent drainage, am I correct? -
Agave tequiliana is used to make tequila and you can also use some types of Agave (nectar) as a natural sweetener. -

Exactly right, Erica. This is one time when our sandy soil definitely helps. There are even a couple of Florida native agaves: false sisal (Agave decipiens) and wild century plant (Agave neglecta).
