Rustic Fall Porch Decor

How to decorate a porch using pumpkins and mums. Throw in a little rustic touch by using galvanized buckets and burlap.
I know I said I wasn’t going to decorate the front porch for fall this year, but I did add just a few fall elements. It felt a little naked not having anything out there and with the side porch looking like fall it seemed a little neglected. The only people that come through our front door are uninvited. If you know us, you use the side door and just come on in….no knocking required. Our home is always open, and often I come home and find a kid had dropped by and helped themselves to a meal. The only evidence in the dirty dishes in the sink.
The only thing I picked up for the front porch was pumpkins and mums. I purchased the pumpkins from a local farmer and grabbed the mums from our local hardware. It took just a few minutes to put it all together and it looks better than an undecorated porch.
I didn’t know what to do with my hanging baskets that were once beautiful and full with mini, cascading flowers…..no so pretty after the frost as you can see, so I applied the same principle I did to the side porch whiskey barrels. First I cut back all the dead flowers, then lined the basket with straw, and loaded it with leftover pumpkins and gourds. The porch won’t be seen by any trick-or-treaters but I know I put forth a little effort in making it feel like fall.
