I placed wet rags soaked with vanilla extract on places were it would not affect fabric and that worked for me.
  • ServiceMaster has an excellent way to remove the smell. I have had them take care of my elderly fathers home, furniture and even mattress for years. They clean so well and use something to KILL the smell ! They dont charge me very much and I am always so happy!
  • ALSO, Placing open boxes of Arm and Hammer baking soda under the couch helps. I change them about every two months or so.

Odo Ban is the best stuff on the market to deal with stinkyness. I bought mine at Ace Hardware but I also saw it at lows. I have used it for years to get out even the stinkiest dog smells. It's concentrated, you mix it and put it in a spray bottle and I even used it months ago on a chair my son got that smelled of cigarette smoke and it still smells good.

We purchased a used truck from a man who was a heavy smoker. Every day my husband arrived home from work, he would spray the cloth headliner with Rubbing Alcohol and within 3 months, the smell of smoke was gone forever!

Had purchased a used car several years back, had what I thought was awful cigarette smell but someone told me it was cigar smoke which is worse..tryed bag of lime under seats, didn't work, tryed bag of charcole under seat, didn't work...then put a sheet of Bounce fabric softner sheets under seats and that took care of the smell. Good luck.
