You did a gorgeous job on this!! The whole space is so beautiful and this really topped it off :) -
I am going to take the plunge and paint my first piece very soon. I saved your post. Thank you! -
Beautiful...I love this paint, don't you? I have the Old White..and when I need a different color for a small project I just add a few drops of craft acrylic paint to tint. Works pretty good so far. -
Love this chalk paint.....where can I find it? -
@Linda Darnold - Thank you! here is a link to all their retailers. I was lucky enough to win mine at a conference I attended. http://www.anniesloan.com/acatalog/North_Ame... -
Love this Kim! I've saved on my Hometalk board because (gasp) I've never painted with chalk paint ... -
Haha, now Linda that surprises me! Thank you! -
thank you for the blog. I see lots of posts talking about chalk paint and I had no idea what that even meant. -
Hey Kim! I've never actually used the real stuff, just my own concoction using baking soda, and plaster of paris. Works so well though! -
Hi @Ally! I really want to try the homemade version sometime too, I know there are several recipes out there. Great to hear it works! -
Great job! LOVE this color!Using it myself for the first time today :-). -
i finally found a store that sells this paint am on my way to purchase it and my sis and I are starting on our first piece of thrift store furniture today.Thank you for your post! -
Kim Sand & Sisal I am so impressed with the look of the chalk paint I want to ask a question - what type of surface will this NOT work on? Seems to me it is good for most surfaces. I don't want to waste time on the wrong surface. -
It's a lovely piece Kim. -
Nuevamente gracias -
Wow, that's cool! Thanks for sharing, Kim! -
Can you give me any tips on waxing???? -
Aqua Elephant - What are you specifically curious about? I know that with this wax, you simply rub it on (I like to use cheesecloth) and then buff it out (with fresh cheesecloth) pretty immediately. I asked the experts at ASCP if you needed to let the wax sit for any length of time and they said NOOOO! Buff it out right away. So I would do, let's say a table leg entirely, buff it out, and then move on to another area. Hope that helps. ;) -
Thanks Kim!!! I always seem to have spots that look dull!!! -
Aqua Elephant - ok, the great thing about the wax is that you can apply more over the top. So go ahead and rub in a bit more to the dulled areas and see how it does. I suspect if it's a tabletop, then you might end up having to re-wax the full top, but try the spots out first and see how it goes. Best of luck! -
Thank you Kim!!!!
