Mercury Glass Tree Project

I love the look of mercury glass ~ I’ve done projects in the past that have turned out great thought trees would look cool too ~ love how they turned out!
I bought these tree shaped glass candy/nut containers at Goodwill 69 cents each awesome deal!
Such an easy project :) all you need is a clean glass object a spray bottle of water & a can of Krylon Looking Glass spray paint (Wal-Mart sells it for 8.97 cheapest I’ve found) I spray the glass with a light/fine mist let it sit for a couple of minutes & then do a couple light coats of the looking glass paint ~ you can repeat the steps if you want more marks/streaking until you get the look you want :) Easy!
Love the mirror effect ~ much better the plain old clear glass!
Really love how they glow with the flameless tealights inside ~
Quick ~ easy ~ inexpensive project :)

Someone clever wrote about using Mod Podge & paint to make cranberry glass. Wonder if the mirror glass spray could be used after that?

I'm assuming you taped off the area that is clear before spraying with the mercury glass?

Did you spray the inside of the trees or the outside please?

I just bought some of these trees in various sizes thinking I could do something with them at a church function, now I know. Mine were even cheaper than yours. lol. I was thinking about red glass paint, but I like the silver. Great idea
