Spooktacular Upcycle
These sconces came with our house. They were dated and ugly and we hated them. They hurt our eyes (okay, my eyes) to look at. I assumed the previous owners never updated them, until I came across them at Lowes and Home Depot.
First, I spray painted them Rustoleum’s Oil Rubbed Bronze. They were better, but I still couldn’t stand the frosted, etched, glass shades.
When I flipped the shade over, I thought it would look much better as a ghost. I must’ve had Halloween on the brain
I painted the shade with 2 coats of frosted glass paint and used a sharpie marker for his face. Boo-ya! That ugly shade makes an adorable ghost!
