My Craigslist (and Roadside Rescues) Reclamations 2

Adventures In Junking

So, the fun continues. If you go to the Roadside Rescue site you'll see a vintage English trestle table with crank extension named "Henry". I name things. Henry is not the table pictured below. This is a cleaned up version. The Henry I picked up as a Craigslist freebie had splits in the legs and a lot of damage to the top. I sanded quite a bit by hand.
Then I put away my go-to white paint and made myself a grey wash with a distinct blue tint. How handsome is he?
These were both roadside finds. One was put curbside by a neighbour who was moving (the big plywood one) and the other someone put in their recycle bin. I painted and distressed them and they sold within minutes at my lawn sale.
This plant stand was given to as a Craigslist freebie from the young guy who made it in high school shop class. It was bought by a university music student. I like to think it became home to a bust of Betthoven
This maple (heavy!) bed was a curbside find from Grandma's room after she went to a care facility.
This little pine side table was Broyhill made - sturdy as anything. Circa mid-70s. But when I got it (Craigslist freebie) it was completely unpainted and had a bit circular burn mark on the top from a hot saucepan.
The top had several coats of different colour paint, sanded through after each layer to show through.

@Elizabeth thanks so much. I was very pleased how Henry turned out. It was the first time I had tried a "wash' and I was completely unprepared for the amount of wiping cloths I would need. I ended up selling Henry for a song (almost literally, lol) to a young couple who were seconds away from having their first baby - twins!
