Replacing shower curtain with shower door

We hate shower curtains. It is impossible to keep them clean, plus our bathroom was tiny so we added glass shower doors. this solved both problems--well, it made the bathroom look bigger, anyway. We added a track to the rim of the bathtub and sides of the shower, then hung the doors.
Advice:
Be careful measuring and cutting your door frame. You can't buy just the frame. Give your caulk plenty of time to dry before hanging shower door. Make sure track is in the right place!
The door was $200 so I was so nervous cutting the aluminum frame. You only get one shot. I measured and remeasured. Then I cut the frame with a hacksaw. I put the track in with silicone caulk, again with careful measuring. I was able to hang the door by myself.
Materials:
shower door, hacksaw, silicone caulk, screwgun - $0.00
New shower door

We had doors and like a few people said already they are a pain to keep clean. We finally removed them and have a inexpensive curtain that can be easily washed or replaced. Good luck with your doors!

I have doors and our water is .5 from hardest possible. Each shower has a squeegee hanging from the tiniest Command strips in conspicuously to left of shower head and glass. A couple of quick swipes after each shower and we are good to go. We refused to have a bottom "w" shaped bottom rail/track. Ours is single, flat aluminum and drains back into shower/tub.... no vesting there.
