Adding molding to great room main wall
by
Philip C
(IC: homeowner)
We really needed something on the main wall to draw the eye upward. We felt like we were in a fish bowl.
Advice:
Don't fall off scaffolding! You will have to measure and get help to make sure everything is centered. Using the fireplace hearth is a great tip for centering. Make sure curved molding is centered and symmetrical.
We needed scaffolding to get to the top of the room, but we were up there to paint anyway. You have to be very careful to measure off everything and to make sure the molding and paint treatment is symmetrical.
Materials:
molding, paint, key stone molding piece, scaffolding, nail gun - $0.00
